It is increasingly being shown that cardiovascular condition is an integral determinant of survival & quality of life in dialysis patients. Relatively recently, children with ESRD have been shown to have indicators of CVD. We are exploring the effect of using lowered-temperature dialysate on HRV and dialytic hypotensive episodes in children on HD.
